What Residents Have To Say

I've been a resident of Glenaire for 45+ years. I had the privilege of serving the City for 16 years, first as an Alderwoman and then as the city clerk. Therefore, I've experienced Glenaire from all sides and have enjoyed watching it become the wonderful little city it is today. Living in is a bit like "country" living with all the big city conveniences. It is very quiet, friendly and welcoming, yet it offers the ultimate privacy. I look around at the big, beautiful mature trees, many gardens and an abundance of wildlife. At night time I hear frogs croaking, owls hooting and the chatter of coyotes in the distance at times. All types of birds and butterflies abound. It used to be known as "the little city that could"; now it is known as "the little city that did". I love my little Class Four City!

Ann Tucker Retired City Clerk

We moved to Glenaire a little over five years ago from Portland, Oregon. We love the peace and quiet. We have the feeling of being in the country but still being 5-10 minutes away from shopping, entertainment and medical services. At first we thought we were in Liberty but so realized we were in Glenaire. It is a great place to live.
